[00:01:52] Hi, I'm Michelle Sims, your host.
[00:01:54] I'm just a regular person who, along with my family, have had our share of messes that we, too, have had to overcome.
[00:02:00] Along the way, I got curious as to how others get through their messes and even triumph over them.
[00:02:05] Maybe there's a better way, a faster way.
[00:02:08] Maybe we can accelerate our journeys by learning from someone else.
[00:02:12] That started my pursuit.
[00:02:14] I think we can all learn from each other through the sharing of our experiences, lessons, and knowledge.
[00:02:18] So join me for episode 84 of The Beauty and the Mess called Embracing Transformation with Kelly Keefe.
[00:02:26] So without further ado, let's dive right into today's conversation.
[00:02:31] Hi, Kelly.
[00:02:32] Welcome to The Beauty and the Mess.
[00:02:33] I'm so glad to have you with me today.
[00:02:35] Yeah.
[00:02:35] Thanks so much for having me.
[00:02:37] So I'm glad to be here.
[00:02:38] Absolutely.
[00:02:39] Now, I know you're a thought leader and an entrepreneur and a best-selling author among many, many things.
[00:02:45] But before we kind of start digging into some of that, I was wondering if you'd mind sharing some of your backstory.
[00:02:52] Like, what part of your journey led you to the path you're on today?
[00:02:56] Was there a pivotal point in life?
[00:02:58] Yeah.
[00:02:59] I mean, there's been tons of them, and I'm sure there'll be so many more to come.
[00:03:02] But I like to say anyone who shows up in this world at some point as a powerful healer, which we're all healers and we're all powerful, but has gone through an advanced curriculum.
[00:03:14] So childhood, teenage years were very challenging for a lot of different ways.
[00:03:19] And it was during college, I had a light switch moment of a lifestyle change.
[00:03:23] I was over 250.
[00:03:24] I was about 250 pounds going into college.
[00:03:27] And I was majoring in education and anthropology.
[00:03:30] And the end of freshman year, it was like a light switch moment.
[00:03:33] I'm going to change my lifestyle, workout every day, fruits, vegetables, grilled chicken, and a healthy cereal, and switch my major to business management.
[00:03:42] Looking in hindsight, I see that's like my spiritual guidance team kind of flipping a switch and starting to direct me into the destiny frequency.
[00:03:49] And so shortly after that, I was in meditation.
[00:03:53] It says, let's go to yoga and meditation and all these stepping stones, entrepreneurship.
[00:03:58] And I had in a meditation, I heard my first clear audience message of look up healing modalities.
[00:04:04] You're a healer.
[00:04:05] And that catalyzed the journey of learning Reiki and the healing arts and radically began to change my life.
[00:04:13] And the steps that just continue to present themselves at the next piece of the mission that's continuously having me grow and evolve and transform and serve God's will.
[00:04:24] Wow.
[00:04:25] It's fair to say that you help people transform their lives, correct?
[00:04:29] Yeah.
[00:04:30] Yeah, I guess you can say that.
[00:04:32] Yeah.
[00:04:33] So what do people come to you the most for?
[00:04:37] If you don't mind me asking, like, what are they looking for when they come to you?
[00:04:41] Yeah, I typically tend to attract powerful humans who are like ready to step fully into their power.
[00:04:48] There's an understanding that there's something bigger.
[00:04:51] There's some call big on their heart that they know they're here to serve in some way and step into.
[00:04:57] And there may be an awareness of self-esteem or blocks in the way and things that they just can't see if there's some breakthrough.
[00:05:05] They might have already done work on it or they're brand new to it.
[00:05:07] But they can see and have an idea of where they want to go.
[00:05:11] And they're aware of where they are.
[00:05:13] They're just not exactly sure how to get there.
[00:05:16] And one of my superpowers is supporting people in energetically being able to match the frequency of there and also clear the stuff that's in the way to align us to what they're seeing and wanting to create.
[00:05:31] Wow, that's pretty awesome.
[00:05:33] Do you ever get somebody that's like clueless that doesn't know what they want?
[00:05:37] I often question like if we have one purpose in life or if our purpose is ever evolving.
[00:05:43] So how do you find that purpose if you don't know what it is you're here to do?
[00:05:49] Yeah, and I'm with you of it being not just one.
[00:05:53] Like for myself, where I look where I'm like, there's so many facets to the calls that are on my heart.
[00:05:58] And it always for me, like I've dialed into, OK, I'm here to support and raising the consciousness and supporting leaders and entrepreneurs to step into that full alignment with God to thrive.
[00:06:09] And it comes in various different forms.
[00:06:12] It comes through the books or my empowerment music or the coaching or the retreat.
[00:06:16] So there's so many ways it comes through.
[00:06:19] Right.
[00:06:19] But I've gotten clear of the essence of the purpose.
[00:06:23] And I feel as humans, we can get really caught up on the what is my purpose rather than why.
[00:06:31] Why am I here?
[00:06:32] Because the how and the what's going to continue to change.
[00:06:35] But we can remember and start to shift the paradigm of the purpose from being what.
[00:06:40] It's not a job.
[00:06:41] It's an essence that we're here to bring forth humanity and the globe.
[00:06:46] But is there times that even myself, sometimes I'm like, wait, what am I doing again?
[00:06:50] No, there have been seasons of what's the point.
[00:06:52] Yes.
[00:06:54] And especially when I'm working with women, I have a few women's groups that I teach.
[00:06:59] And one of the questions we stop and we start with is, what do you want?
[00:07:05] And it's surprising to everyone.
[00:07:10] I'm like, oh, my gosh, I don't actually know if I know the answer to that.
[00:07:15] Because as children, we've received all the time.
[00:07:18] There's a little bit of a crying or this and that.
[00:07:19] What do you want?
[00:07:20] What do you want?
[00:07:21] But at some point that stopped.
[00:07:23] And we start to just go into the world and react, react, react, react, react.
[00:07:28] And maybe people please or try to fit into a mold that society tells us to be.
[00:07:33] And somewhere along the way, we got asked again, what do you want?
[00:07:38] Like, what do you really want at a soul level?
[00:07:41] And so not knowing is really common.
[00:07:44] And that's one of the very first steps of us getting clear of being able to create and live
[00:07:49] the life of fulfillment that we truly desire.
[00:07:52] So is it what you were just saying a minute ago that it's more about focusing on the why
[00:07:57] you're here instead of what are you here for?
[00:07:59] Is that what we should be focused on?
[00:08:04] Yeah.
[00:08:04] Yeah.
[00:08:04] Because I feel that brings more joy in some ways as well.
[00:08:08] When we can remember that our purpose might not be a job.
[00:08:12] Right.
[00:08:13] When we can start to get clear of why am I here?
[00:08:16] What's alive in my heart?
[00:08:18] What's my medicine to bring to the planet?
[00:08:20] For someone, it might be, I'm here to remind people the power of play and laughter and joy.
[00:08:27] The person who was the class clown as a child.
[00:08:29] I like to ask people all the time, what did you do when you were five, six, seven, eight?
[00:08:34] What did you love to do?
[00:08:36] That will give you amazing insight of why you're here.
[00:08:40] Right.
[00:08:41] Like what's your medicine?
[00:08:43] And then we can start to look at it.
[00:08:45] If we don't need to get too caught up with someone catches themselves borderline going into neuroses,
[00:08:50] trying to figure out their purpose.
[00:08:52] Well, then stepping into the cool, let's ask yourself, what do you want to do?
[00:08:56] What would be fun?
[00:08:56] And just starting to do things, not because I'm going to do this because I think it's my purpose.
[00:09:03] It's I'm going to do this because it feels inspiring to do this.
[00:09:06] And sometimes through simply following some doings, we can really start to get to the essence of the purpose.
[00:09:14] Yeah, I like that approach very well.
[00:09:16] I've heard you talk about or read about that you believe integrity.
[00:09:21] You believe in integrity of leaders.
[00:09:24] So could you explain that a little bit to us?
[00:09:28] Yeah.
[00:09:29] Integrity is a superpower.
[00:09:31] I find that one of integrity is an unstoppable force because essentially our word is everything.
[00:09:39] Our words create worlds.
[00:09:42] So when we allow ourselves to make sure we're very cognizant of what is it that I say and whatever I do speak into existence, I follow through.
[00:09:53] It creates a profound trust with self.
[00:09:57] And it also creates a profound trust with others.
[00:10:00] When we can begin to build an energetic behind ourselves of, wow, whatever this person says they do.
[00:10:09] And when there's something that maybe we are going to fall short on something.
[00:10:13] There is two dear friends of mine last week.
[00:10:16] They reached out to me and said, hey, can you send this and that?
[00:10:18] I said, I got you.
[00:10:18] I'm in a whirlwind of a few different projects, but I'll get it to you sometime today or tomorrow.
[00:10:23] A week and a half went by.
[00:10:25] And I sent back to Nigel said, I am so sorry.
[00:10:28] I was out of integrity.
[00:10:29] I would like to restore my integrity right now.
[00:10:31] Here it is.
[00:10:32] And that clears it.
[00:10:33] When we can own, we're human.
[00:10:35] So we're not going to be able to fulfill every promise and commitment we make 24-7.
[00:10:40] But when that level of integrity to be able to own it and acknowledge it, with leading our lives of 97% of the time, knowing whatever we speak, we follow up with the action behind it.
[00:10:52] And we only speak what we truly mean.
[00:10:56] It increases the amount of potency that our words carry, which allows our magnetism to rise so we can actually create worlds with it.
[00:11:07] Because our language truly is what begins to set in motion what it is we experience in our lives.
[00:11:13] So I heard you talk about the power of words.
[00:11:15] It's making me wonder what happens when you have that negative voice in your head and you're playing negative looping thoughts to yourself and probably speaking them as well.
[00:11:27] So how do you correct that?
[00:11:30] How do you stop it?
[00:11:31] Yeah.
[00:11:33] One, the grace pass for anyone listening where one, it's a process and we're human.
[00:11:37] We may have a bad day, this and that.
[00:11:39] But the first is the awareness.
[00:11:40] Us beginning to slow down enough to realize, oh, wow, there's a really annoying roommate hanging out in my head.
[00:11:48] That's really how I like to look at it.
[00:11:50] Like we really stop and we're to reflect on how we can talk to ourselves sometimes.
[00:11:55] Sometimes when I have friends, they'll start to say something about themselves that's like not kind of, let's go, let's say their name is Rebecca.
[00:12:04] Okay.
[00:12:04] And like, you know, they're saying something, it's like, oh, I'm so stupid.
[00:12:07] I'll be like, hey, don't talk to my friend Rebecca like that.
[00:12:10] And kind of start to jolt with, hey, you want to talk to your friends the way that we talk to ourselves.
[00:12:15] So first beginning to realize the internal dialogue that I'm doing right now, is this how I would talk to a friend?
[00:12:23] And I'm starting to realize, wait, I want to be my friend.
[00:12:27] I hang out with me 24-7.
[00:12:29] Other people will come and go.
[00:12:31] But when we can start to have the awareness, I haven't been very nice to my friend so-and-so, insert your name here.
[00:12:36] Wow.
[00:12:38] Then we can start to say, what would be something kinder to say?
[00:12:41] How can I start to nurture the relationship and be a good friend to this person that lives inside of this human suit?
[00:12:48] And then we can begin to go deeper into looking at where do those thoughts come from?
[00:12:52] Where we can go deeper into the exploration of where our core beliefs come from, subconscious programs that are playing underneath the surface and beginning to allow ourselves to rewrite them.
[00:13:04] So that way it becomes a bit more natural and organic for the positive thoughts to be coming in.
[00:13:09] Yeah, I was wondering how you felt like if you feel like society kind of programs this from a young age, because it almost seems like a lot of the groups or classes that I get involved in, it's almost like an epidemic of not feeling like you're important.
[00:13:27] Or I don't know.
[00:13:29] Everybody always thinks it's just them, but you listen to all these other people.
[00:13:33] There's a lot of people in the same boat.
[00:13:35] And I think there has to be something, either it's the social media comparisons or whatever's going on.
[00:13:43] But something in society has to be kind of programming us down that path, I would think.
[00:13:49] I mean, yeah.
[00:13:51] And when we look at, let's say, in the sphere of women and beauty, right?
[00:13:55] I mean, from the day that we're born, we start to see these standards put or all these advertisements.
[00:14:02] And it's just the, sometimes it can make me have to go and transmute some anger that wants to come through my body.
[00:14:11] Where we look at, rather than teaching, hey, no one will really allow you to be radiant and beautiful and this and like eat healthy, exercise and be really kind to yourself.
[00:14:21] Rather than us truth, from a young age, we start to have these of, you need this cosmetic and you need this skincare and you need to do this to your hair and you need to this.
[00:14:32] And this is the standard of beauty that starts to program.
[00:14:35] We need something outside of ourselves.
[00:14:37] And that innate inworthiness starts to really be placed inside of us.
[00:14:42] Where if we were to be teaching, you're whole, perfect and worthy as you are.
[00:14:47] You were made by design.
[00:14:48] I mean, literally exactly each one of us was perfectly made by design for whoever it is we need to be this lifetime.
[00:14:56] And if we were to just teach, hey, you're perfect as you are.
[00:14:59] Let me teach you how to love yourself.
[00:15:00] Let me teach you how to be kind to yourself and take care of yourself and eat nutrients and mineralize your water and these things.
[00:15:07] And here's understanding energy and healing and grounding.
[00:15:11] Everyone would be radiant and beautiful.
[00:15:13] Everyone at some level is.
[00:15:16] But yeah, between that and then the standards of money, what equals success?
[00:15:21] Where we've completely gone.
[00:15:23] Another way of success means that you have X amount in a bank account and you have X amount of cars.
[00:15:29] Rather than are you actually happy and healthy?
[00:15:32] Do you spend time with family?
[00:15:34] Do you travel?
[00:15:35] Have you experienced the goodness of life?
[00:15:36] Like this is not a practice run, y'all.
[00:15:38] Just a reminder.
[00:15:40] This is not a drill.
[00:15:41] This isn't a practice run.
[00:15:43] This is it.
[00:15:44] Now, if you believe in incarnation, cool.
[00:15:45] You might get another go around.
[00:15:46] But you'll never get a go around again as the version of you in this moment.
[00:15:51] And it's short.
[00:15:52] It's really short.
[00:15:53] And we've really been conditioned to try to fill these boxes to prove something to somebody that we're worthy.
[00:16:00] Where it's just like plot twist.
[00:16:01] You already were.
[00:16:02] Go have some fun.
[00:16:05] I love that.
[00:16:06] And you hit on something key that really only dawned on me the other day.
[00:16:11] That we're never taught to.
[00:16:13] And I'm not like blaming our parents or anything.
[00:16:16] But we're never taught to love ourselves or to put ourselves first.
[00:16:20] Especially as women, I think.
[00:16:22] But it could be men as well.
[00:16:23] But our parents and their parents.
[00:16:26] No one's teaching that.
[00:16:27] It seems like.
[00:16:28] I mean, there probably are some that are aware enough to do that.
[00:16:32] But I think most of us just get caught up in the grind.
[00:16:35] And we focus on others.
[00:16:37] But we never focus on ourselves.
[00:16:39] So I think that was huge.
[00:16:41] Yeah.
[00:16:42] Yeah.
[00:16:42] Our parents.
[00:16:43] A lot of them didn't know.
[00:16:45] Exactly.
[00:16:45] It was just a general.
[00:16:47] Like maybe two generations ago.
[00:16:49] No.
[00:16:49] Maybe one.
[00:16:50] Really like this generation.
[00:16:52] That started to realize that self-care and therapy is cool.
[00:16:56] For my parents, the idea of going to therapy meant that like there was a serious mental illness happening.
[00:17:03] Right.
[00:17:03] You know?
[00:17:04] So it was to talk about psychology and all of this stuff.
[00:17:07] It's new.
[00:17:08] So it's very healing when we can truly begin to arrive to acceptance of our parents did the best they could with what they got.
[00:17:15] Doesn't mean they might not have messed us up a little bit.
[00:17:18] But they did the best they could with what they had.
[00:17:21] Absolutely.
[00:17:21] Absolutely.
[00:17:22] Now, I saw where you're a big fan of speaking of psychology, NLP, neurolinguistic programming.
[00:17:28] So could you talk to us about that for a few minutes?
[00:17:31] Yes.
[00:17:31] I could talk about NLP for days, girl.
[00:17:35] NLP definitely changed my life and is one of the modalities I bring into one-on-one work and the group work that I do.
[00:17:42] NLP stands for neurolinguistic programming.
[00:17:45] So essentially, this is the study of our languaging and how it's creating the outcomes and the experiences of our lives.
[00:17:54] So we can start at a level of just beginning to bring that awareness of our words, create worlds.
[00:18:00] And we can start to see, okay, I'm using this word constantly, which is actually contracting on my energy, where I could begin to expand it and have a different energetic outcome.
[00:18:12] We then bring it to another deeper level where we start to realize, why are we saying the things we're saying?
[00:18:18] What does it stem from?
[00:18:19] Because it's all stemmed in subconscious beliefs and programming that's running in the background.
[00:18:25] So if we're always saying something or just very loose of the tongue, we say something, as a trained ear, we begin to be able to catch something like, aha, you just showed us something that's going.
[00:18:37] And it allows for an unraveling of where that comes from to be able to rewire it, to change the filter, therefore changing the languaging of the outcome.
[00:18:49] Because there's a lot of talk out there of, and it helps to a certain extent, but the positive, speak positive words.
[00:18:56] Yes, facts.
[00:18:58] But there's some slight misconceptions of some of it where people are like, I'm doing this, but I'm not getting results.
[00:19:06] Where there's a slight line where we have to remember, we're really intelligent.
[00:19:10] So if we're telling ourselves a complete opposite that's not true, our being's going to reject it.
[00:19:17] So we have to meet ourselves in the middle and actually just reframe the words in a way that's inviting a newer outcome and more positive energy.
[00:19:29] An example, I can already feel somebody like, what?
[00:19:33] So say someone keeps saying, I don't know what to do.
[00:19:36] I'm completely stuck.
[00:19:38] I don't know what to do.
[00:19:39] I'm completely stuck in my life or my career or this and that.
[00:19:42] I don't know what to do.
[00:19:42] I'm completely stuck.
[00:19:45] That is very contracting and a wall.
[00:19:48] Like, what are you going to do with that?
[00:19:49] I don't know what to do.
[00:19:49] I don't know what to do.
[00:19:50] I don't know what to do.
[00:19:52] If all of a sudden you were to start to say, I know exactly what to do.
[00:19:55] It's not true.
[00:19:56] The body's going to reject it and you're just going to add more frustration into your life.
[00:20:00] However, if we go into a language of saying, I acknowledge I'm feeling stuck.
[00:20:05] We're not saying I am stuck.
[00:20:07] We're not owning the identity.
[00:20:08] But acknowledge where we're at.
[00:20:10] The body can be like, yep, you're right.
[00:20:12] Okay.
[00:20:12] I trust what's going to come next.
[00:20:14] I accept I'm feeling stuck and I'm open to learning what the next step is.
[00:20:20] Okay.
[00:20:21] Shifting.
[00:20:21] I don't know what to do to I'm open to learning what the next step is.
[00:20:26] Completely different energy.
[00:20:28] And it starts to create spaciousness for the next steps and the outcomes to come, which will keep mental health happier.
[00:20:34] And leaves a space and more receptivity to be able to receive the guidance and the ideas.
[00:20:41] So do you believe that there's something to your subconscious listens to everything you say?
[00:20:47] So part of that is you're literally telling yourself that I am stuck, right?
[00:20:52] And so it's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy also because you keep telling yourself you're stuck.
[00:20:58] Then you've then like you said, there's no way out as part of it.
[00:21:03] I would think.
[00:21:05] Totally.
[00:21:05] And here's the thing where that's even on some deeper level within the subconscious, there's probably something that's triggered that as well.
[00:21:13] But that's conscious mind.
[00:21:15] Like when we're looking at if we're saying live time, the subconscious is what's running in the background of our day to day life running 70 to 80% of our day to day life.
[00:21:24] The decisions we make, the habits we keep repeating, the way we show up in relationships, all these things, subconscious happening.
[00:21:32] Right.
[00:21:32] Where when we're in conscious dialogue, absolutely.
[00:21:37] The subconscious is always listening.
[00:21:38] Absolutely.
[00:21:39] You're absolutely right.
[00:21:40] And the conscious is also driving the wheels well a bit.
[00:21:45] So we're meeting the immediate conscious.
[00:21:47] And then once we start to clear that, we can start to reveal what's also happening in the subconscious mind.
[00:21:52] But we have to get clear of getting a little bit more of the conscious mind and control.
[00:21:58] I always kind of look at it as like our brain.
[00:22:01] It's either a leash.
[00:22:02] We have it under control and we're walking it.
[00:22:04] Or very quickly, if we lose control, it can become a noose.
[00:22:07] And we're out.
[00:22:08] So once we're walking the brain and the mind together, well, then we can start to really explore what's the resistance that's happening in the subconscious.
[00:22:17] That's a very good visualization, actually.
[00:22:22] So I heard you say reframing.
[00:22:24] And I think of that a lot with hypnosis also.
[00:22:27] So do you practice hypnosis?
[00:22:30] Do you believe in hypnosis?
[00:22:32] It's a merging of all of the spaces, too.
[00:22:36] I love hypnosis as well, where it's, one, it's changed a lot in my life.
[00:22:41] Because it is within hypnosis for anyone who isn't familiar or you've done it.
[00:22:45] You're like, it works, but I don't understand why.
[00:22:48] A little bit more of what's happening there.
[00:22:49] When we're brought into hypnosis, it supports us in being able to relax the body.
[00:22:54] And it's shifting the brain waves into beta waves.
[00:22:57] So it's allowing ourselves to become more susceptible and allowing access to the subconscious mind to start to change the patterns that are in there.
[00:23:07] And it's emphasized and strengthened by the use of visualization.
[00:23:11] Because the conscious mind and subconscious mind doesn't understand what's actually happened and what's imagination.
[00:23:21] Right.
[00:23:21] So if we keep imagining a terrible experience and worrying, we're just reliving an experience that's never even happened yet and causing our nervous system to go crazy.
[00:23:31] Where if we begin to imagine ideal outcomes, we start to tell our nervous system, see, we've experienced this.
[00:23:37] This is the norm and we begin to create it.
[00:23:40] Yeah.
[00:23:40] I love the science of hypnosis.
[00:23:42] It's really fascinating.
[00:23:42] So as someone who uses both NLP and hypnosis, do you think one is stronger or more effective than the other?
[00:23:51] Or do you combine the two or how does that work?
[00:23:54] I'm just curious.
[00:23:55] Yeah.
[00:23:56] I mean, I'm for the medicine bag goes deep.
[00:23:59] We're at a good 20, 25,000 hours of study and practice and trainings and teaching and this and that.
[00:24:04] You know, I voted my life just.
[00:24:06] As I nerd out on the bin.
[00:24:07] Oh, wow.
[00:24:09] Yeah.
[00:24:10] Hold on.
[00:24:10] So for me, it's really using a combination of the different modalities of what's needed at the time, meeting the group or the individual and using the different if this, then that kind of thing and seeing and having the playground.
[00:24:27] When working with individuals, one thing may work great for one person and it doesn't really resonate for another.
[00:24:33] I think that's personally why I've been led to training and so many levels of study where it's been seasons of going into something really deep and hitting like a level of like depth and then moving to a next, you know, where it's over years, it's crude.
[00:24:49] Right.
[00:24:49] So that way it is not a one size fits all thing because we're all so unique.
[00:24:54] So I really think it depends on the individual NLP and hypnosis together is a very powerful combination at large though.
[00:25:01] Yeah, I would think it would be.
[00:25:03] That's why I ask because it sounds pretty powerful.
[00:25:06] What about fear?
[00:25:08] Because I feel like a lot of speaking of people trying to transform or just trying to change however you want to word it.
[00:25:15] But a lot of times we're afraid of change, even if it's good change.
[00:25:20] So how do we overcome that fear of the I don't know if it's fear of the unknown.
[00:25:26] I don't know exactly what it is, but.
[00:25:28] Yeah.
[00:25:29] I mean, it's, it's slightly different for everybody.
[00:25:33] But when we boil down all the different fears, it does always kind of come to fear of death, fear of being alone, fear of rejection, or fear of the unknown.
[00:25:44] So it kind of always boils down into these spaces.
[00:25:47] For those who, this is our first time meeting.
[00:25:50] Hey.
[00:25:51] And just for a little bit of context in 2019, the book Rise Above Fear channeled through me.
[00:25:56] And I went deep into the study of fear and getting to know it a little bit deeper on a psychological and physiological and a vibrational level.
[00:26:05] And what I learned through that experience, and I even say in the preface of the book, so listen, this book is moving me through the process as well.
[00:26:15] I'm doing the process in the book to write this book and finally put it out there.
[00:26:20] So it's been on my heart for so long to be a published author.
[00:26:22] And I knew it was a big part of my work here this lifetime to do it.
[00:26:25] So I was moving through my fear of writing and publishing a book, and I was channeling the process of how to befriend the fear to do it that also happened to be the gift to humanity, which is, one, wild.
[00:26:39] But through it, I learned we live so often of this slay the fear, overcome the fear, feel the fear, and just do it anyway.
[00:26:50] And again, it brings us back to relationship, right?
[00:26:52] When we're talking about with ourselves, like, hey, don't talk to my friend like that.
[00:26:56] But if we were to look at fear as personified fear, and be like, well, look how you're treating it.
[00:27:03] It's still a part of the team.
[00:27:05] They might be a little needy, and they've seen some stuff.
[00:27:07] So their perspective's a little tampered, and they need a little extra care and nurturing to be able to keep moving forward with the things.
[00:27:16] But when we can begin to really look at fear and befriend it, invite it to a cup of tea.
[00:27:21] And I invite someone, like, literally, get a cup of tea for yourself and make a cup of tea for fear.
[00:27:27] And sit at a table and say, come sit with me, fear.
[00:27:29] Let's talk.
[00:27:30] And we give it a voice.
[00:27:32] I mean, I just say, okay, so tell me.
[00:27:33] What's going on?
[00:27:34] And we start to befriend it.
[00:27:37] And we meet it in nurturance and understanding and compassion.
[00:27:41] And it's okay to be like, man, I thought we've been through this already.
[00:27:43] This is annoying.
[00:27:44] You need a reminder again?
[00:27:46] Okay.
[00:27:47] That's fine, though.
[00:27:48] I love you.
[00:27:48] This is your situation.
[00:27:49] We'll do the things.
[00:27:50] It begins to shift rather than saying, you know what?
[00:27:54] You're feeling that, but I'm going this way.
[00:27:56] We say, let us pause.
[00:27:58] Let's befriend.
[00:27:59] And let's get back on the same page.
[00:28:02] And there's a variety of techniques and things that we can do to really create that relationship and get back on the same page so you can move forward as a team.
[00:28:12] So fear's on board.
[00:28:14] It's no longer just slay it or overcome it.
[00:28:16] It's let's just pause.
[00:28:17] Let's befriend.
[00:28:18] And then together we can do this together.
[00:28:21] So it is a superpower.
[00:28:22] Its intentions are good.
[00:28:23] It wants to keep us safe.
[00:28:24] It loves us.
[00:28:25] The tension is so pure.
[00:28:27] It just needs to be reminded the way that you used to keep me safe.
[00:28:32] We don't need anymore.
[00:28:33] Do people overcome the fear or are they just learning how to manage the fear?
[00:28:39] Yeah.
[00:28:39] Well, this is where we can play the game of semantics, right?
[00:28:42] Like I'm curious of what is your definition of overcome when you say they do they overcome the fear?
[00:28:48] Like you're not fearful anymore of whatever it was.
[00:28:52] I think it depends.
[00:28:53] Again, we're humans, right?
[00:28:55] It depends on the person.
[00:28:56] Right.
[00:28:57] It depends on the severity of it.
[00:28:59] There's been some traumas in my life and different experiences in my life where, you know, for me, one of the biggest where fear will continue to pop up is in like my personal romantic life.
[00:29:10] Like with my partner, when we started to date and started getting deeper, my fear would still, and I've done a lot of work on it, but it can still pop up and still having to say, okay, I need to go sit and be with this with myself.
[00:29:22] And then being able to have that, those conversations with him, because fear at large is never going to go away.
[00:29:29] We're going to experience fear.
[00:29:31] Every time we step into something new, we're going to feel it every time we up level in our lives, or we're going to go into the unknown or a part of us is shedding.
[00:29:39] And it's always going to be here.
[00:29:40] It's a good sign that there's growth happening.
[00:29:43] So it's sometimes I've had a client who had so much fear about putting herself out there, teaching yoga classes and events and stepping into her mission.
[00:29:53] We moved through that.
[00:29:54] She's teaching all the time.
[00:29:55] She loves it.
[00:29:56] She's in her purpose.
[00:29:57] She's thriving, doing her thing.
[00:29:58] Cool.
[00:29:59] She overcame that.
[00:30:00] But there may be some other areas of fear that takes time and nurturance, and it all depends on the individual.
[00:30:07] And again, the depth of what the fear is stemmed in.
[00:30:11] Very true.
[00:30:13] Yeah, like you said, sometimes fear is a good thing, and sometimes it's very necessary.
[00:30:18] It's our warning system that could be that something's wrong.
[00:30:22] Totally.
[00:30:23] Especially if you're in danger of some sort.
[00:30:26] So I wanted to ask you about intuition.
[00:30:30] What do you believe it is?
[00:30:32] That's a really good question.
[00:30:33] I feel intuition is our deep knowingness of soul speak in a way.
[00:30:42] It's a fusion of our soul and our inner elder being present as well as a communication channel with our guides and like a lifeguard that can kind of see.
[00:30:52] We go to the beach, and we're like, I'm going to go swim that way.
[00:30:55] And they're like, hey, I can see something you can't.
[00:30:58] Like there's sharks in the water.
[00:30:59] Don't go that way.
[00:31:00] Whatever.
[00:31:01] And the shark's in the water.
[00:31:02] So you kind of look at it as diffusion of our own deep knowingness within our soul and a guidance system that's looking out for us.
[00:31:10] So do you believe that we are kind of led down a path or kind of programmed to mistrust our own intuition?
[00:31:17] Because I kind of feel like we're guided not to like when you get that little nudge from inside that you learn to ignore it or move around it.
[00:31:28] Yeah.
[00:31:29] Yeah.
[00:31:29] I feel it's kind of same, same.
[00:31:31] And again, maybe it's a bit of semantics.
[00:31:33] And I feel we're saying the same thing of, I was speaking on this quite a bit yesterday.
[00:31:38] That's why it's so fresh in me.
[00:31:39] But I feel as a society, we're really being conditioned to not think for ourselves.
[00:31:46] Right.
[00:31:46] And as a result of there being less thinking for ourselves and it's creating this ability to not trust ourselves.
[00:31:57] And the way that we're creating so much convenience, we're giving a lot of our power away without knowing it.
[00:32:03] All day, every day in various different facets.
[00:32:07] And a big part of us really remembering the power we hold.
[00:32:11] And a lot of times when we listen to our intuition, start moving other ways.
[00:32:15] It would be something that's not the norm.
[00:32:18] Air quote, the norm.
[00:32:20] And because we live in a world that we're being trained to not trust ourselves.
[00:32:24] Don't make your own answers.
[00:32:26] Don't question things.
[00:32:27] Don't do anything.
[00:32:28] You know, just do this.
[00:32:29] Go this way.
[00:32:30] We'll make your life easy.
[00:32:31] If you just do this, life will be easy.
[00:32:34] From that, we've learned to not stop and listen enough to actually hear what's going on then.
[00:32:39] And we're not creating enough space to trust ourselves, which is one of the most important pieces from my perspective of truly being able to live from our intuition and the guidance system.
[00:32:51] Yeah, thank you.
[00:32:53] I think that was really good.
[00:32:54] So what do you think, like with as crazy as the world is today, how do people maintain their peace?
[00:33:02] Hmm.
[00:33:03] Yeah.
[00:33:03] There is a mentor that zipped and zapped out of my life.
[00:33:08] But one of his things that I love so much is he was great with acronyms.
[00:33:13] He would just like be talking and he would say a word and he would break it down of like a deeper meaning that the word holds.
[00:33:18] And me being loquacious by nature and just a word lover.
[00:33:22] Oh, I've loved it so much.
[00:33:23] But we were talking something or something like the power of love, right?
[00:33:26] It's something we hear all the time.
[00:33:27] Love is the most powerful force and this and that.
[00:33:29] And he was just like, Kelly, love.
[00:33:33] Leverage over volatile environments.
[00:33:37] Love is simply leverage over volatile environments.
[00:33:42] And I was just like, amazing.
[00:33:46] Where when we start to say like, okay, so what does that mean?
[00:33:49] When we look at the emotions, the energy emotion.
[00:33:53] Emotions are simply energy emotion.
[00:33:55] When we look at the emotions, if we're feeling fear, we're not able to fully access love.
[00:34:00] If we're feeling love, it's harder to drop into fear.
[00:34:05] It's the contracted state, the expanded state of an energy emotion.
[00:34:10] Right.
[00:34:11] So the more we can continue to do work to ground ourselves, to clear our energy, learn how to increase and raise our vibration, to live in an elevated state.
[00:34:23] Allow ourselves to do this work to put down the things that keep us from living in trust and love and readdress our relationship with fear.
[00:34:33] Well, then we're able to step a little bit further into like, okay, this is a crazy world.
[00:34:40] And through it all, I may feel the things and get angry about certain situations.
[00:34:44] I know I cry and get angry about the conditions of the world time to time.
[00:34:48] I let it move through me.
[00:34:50] And then I root myself back into and in the grand scheme of things, I do know all is happening as it needs to.
[00:34:58] And I am well and I am love.
[00:35:00] I will be a light and I will continue to be a light.
[00:35:03] So I really feel that leveraging over volatile environments, allowing ourselves to really tap into the love.
[00:35:10] Reiki for me is a game changer.
[00:35:12] Every day doing my practice, it helps me to clear my energy, get into that alignment of the highest frequency available to us.
[00:35:20] That's always conspiring for the highest good of all.
[00:35:22] And I watch people's lives change when we do an attunement and they raise their baseline frequency as well.
[00:35:29] That's awesome.
[00:35:30] Do you also practice like limiting how much information you take in?
[00:35:35] Do you do some of that as well?
[00:35:38] Oh yeah.
[00:35:39] It's been so long since I've been doing that, but I don't even think about that anymore.
[00:35:43] Yeah.
[00:35:43] I gave up news and all of that stuff.
[00:35:47] Probably like 2017, 2016, 2015.
[00:35:49] I started living without a TV.
[00:35:51] I was like, I don't really need a TV.
[00:35:53] I'm more of a, I started moving with a mantra of consume, consume less, create more.
[00:35:59] Where I have an MO where I really actually have to be, Kelly, stop, sit, consume entertainment.
[00:36:07] Just go and just like receive something, watch something.
[00:36:10] I'm always learning and creating or just, I love peace and silence and meditation and being with myself.
[00:36:16] I love simplicity.
[00:36:17] Give me a tree and some sunshine and some water.
[00:36:20] And I got everything I need.
[00:36:23] But yeah, when we can start to look at our diet, this is so much more than just our food.
[00:36:29] Yeah.
[00:36:29] Our food is very important.
[00:36:31] What's the nutrition we're putting in ourselves?
[00:36:32] Are we drinking water?
[00:36:34] You know, are we tending to our gut health?
[00:36:36] But then also what are we consuming in our music?
[00:36:38] What are we consuming in the television we watch?
[00:36:42] Are you watching the news?
[00:36:43] Are you watching, you know, I'm going to get a little bold, just controversial.
[00:36:48] And sorry, I'm not sorry if anyone's triggered.
[00:36:51] Like, are you choosing to consume content that's literally just made by stations that are made
[00:36:55] for the intent of fear mongling and to create fear in you?
[00:36:59] So you live contracted and you follow people who just want to tell you what to do and want
[00:37:04] you to live in fear so they can keep a power over you.
[00:37:07] Yeah.
[00:37:07] I mean, you're probably going to be in a little bit more fear of that in your daily diet.
[00:37:11] Yeah, I choose.
[00:37:12] I'm like you.
[00:37:13] I watch TV, but I limit what I watch and how much I watch because I know it's easy
[00:37:21] to get caught up in some of that stuff.
[00:37:24] If you watch it and it's not like you're instantly like the sky is falling, but it's more like you
[00:37:30] just start feeling anxious and I'm not an anxious person.
[00:37:33] And I'm like, OK, not doing this.
[00:37:36] But my husband, he's the opposite.
[00:37:38] I mean, he doesn't feel anxious, but he consumes it and consume and I can't do that.
[00:37:43] I don't want to do that.
[00:37:45] So.
[00:37:46] Yeah.
[00:37:47] Yeah.
[00:37:47] And I mean, it's not true.
[00:37:50] There may be some glimpses of truth.
[00:37:52] Like I had my boyfriend one day and so funny, he doesn't consume it enough.
[00:37:58] I feel like we live in enough different vibrational worlds that it's an interesting dynamic at
[00:38:01] times.
[00:38:02] But he sent me something where I lived in Costa Rica for a year and a half and I do retreats
[00:38:06] there and it's somewhere that I consider home.
[00:38:10] And he sent me some article recent past and he was just like, oh, I'm so glad you got out
[00:38:16] of there when you did.
[00:38:17] Like, did you see this like flesh eating thing that's there?
[00:38:21] And I looked and I said, I have so many friends down in Costa Rica and all different parts of
[00:38:26] the country.
[00:38:27] And I'm involved in so many community group chats and I'm fully aware of everything that's
[00:38:31] happening down there.
[00:38:32] And never once has this thing been mentioned.
[00:38:35] I said, this is fear mongering there.
[00:38:37] This isn't happening.
[00:38:38] Like this isn't true.
[00:38:40] So it's just the spaces of looking at don't trust everything that we read or see because
[00:38:47] it's television, tell a vision and whatever we're creating and seeing in our mind will create
[00:38:54] in reality.
[00:38:55] So if we're seeing it and taking it in, well, then we're thinking it.
[00:38:58] Therefore, we're starting to manifest it in reality.
[00:39:01] But when we start to take back our vision and we tell our own vision, we create our own
[00:39:06] television, well, then we can start to see a new reality.
[00:39:11] Yeah, I love that because I think there's a lot of people that are kind of getting wrapped
[00:39:15] up in all that and they do believe 100% everything they see on TV.
[00:39:20] And that's kind of scary in itself.
[00:39:24] Yeah.
[00:39:24] Again, it's that space of, and I love the depth of us really talking about the root of
[00:39:28] things here.
[00:39:29] And I love where you've brought this conversation.
[00:39:31] I appreciate the questions and it speaks a lot of your own frequency in the space that's
[00:39:36] here.
[00:39:36] So I thank you for that.
[00:39:37] You know, it brings us back to the space of people have been programmed and conditioned
[00:39:42] to just take whatever's given to them.
[00:39:46] And it's an invitation to say, hey, wake up.
[00:39:49] Hey, stop and think about it.
[00:39:51] Don't just take whatever's given to you.
[00:39:53] Take a moment.
[00:39:53] Pause.
[00:39:54] Turn the TV off.
[00:39:55] Think for yourself.
[00:39:56] Right.
[00:39:56] So when we think for ourselves, we can start to have new ideas.
[00:39:59] And that's how we start to break out of the old conditioning and we can start to create
[00:40:04] something we actually want to see.
[00:40:06] Absolutely.
[00:40:07] I think, and I think it's necessary for people to start just question things.
[00:40:13] Just ask the question.
[00:40:14] Could this have a different meaning?
[00:40:17] Could this have a different origin?
[00:40:19] We just ask and they don't, you know, a lot of them.
[00:40:22] So I'm on board with that a hundred percent.
[00:40:25] What's the harm in questioning things?
[00:40:27] There should be no harm.
[00:40:29] Yes.
[00:40:30] Yeah.
[00:40:31] And it's a space where it's a, you know, I just share a lot with, cause I've been there.
[00:40:37] I've had seasons of like wanting to shake people awake.
[00:40:40] It does a lot with my family and this and that.
[00:40:42] And there's a balance, right?
[00:40:44] If we can talk about it from a space of just sharing our own perspective and our own
[00:40:47] awareness, knowing that sometimes someone just, it's not.
[00:40:51] Their time.
[00:40:52] They can't see.
[00:40:53] I love to use the example.
[00:40:55] I hope it is what it is.
[00:40:57] He'll be fine with it.
[00:40:58] Eventually.
[00:40:58] I'm like, I hope he knows how much I talk about his journey now and like all these podcasts,
[00:41:02] but I'll be three years in October.
[00:41:05] My dad's been going through the spiritual awakening and our relationship was one of the
[00:41:09] most challenging things through my own journey of owning and remembering who I am and what
[00:41:14] I'm here to do because they were always like, who are you?
[00:41:17] What are you doing?
[00:41:18] Go back to being normal.
[00:41:19] Go back to being who we knew who gets it.
[00:41:22] And I was like, no, no, no, you don't get it.
[00:41:25] And that's okay, but I'm going to keep going this way.
[00:41:28] And so it's interesting to be able to see now, 444 on my timing.
[00:41:32] As soon as I start talking about this, that's funny.
[00:41:34] So to be able to see now that he's in the awakening that he does get it.
[00:41:42] And he is able to question.
[00:41:44] And we now dialogue.
[00:41:46] He's like, I get it now.
[00:41:47] I see what you were saying and this and that.
[00:41:49] So it's always that space of us remembering there's divine appointments of people to cross
[00:41:56] our lives.
[00:41:57] And if we were at a certain level of our memory, we might not have been able to catch it.
[00:42:01] And there's certain times for us to remember and to wake up.
[00:42:04] So we're not here to shake anybody awake.
[00:42:06] But just by us starting to have these questions, these conversations, it may plant a seed or something
[00:42:11] like, oh, I do wonder what would happen if tonight, rather than watching the news, I
[00:42:16] turned the TV off and I just spent time with myself.
[00:42:18] But that's scary for a lot.
[00:42:20] But full circle, because a lot of people, when they're by themselves, they're being the
[00:42:24] really mean friend to hang out with.
[00:42:26] They're like, I don't want to hang out with this person.
[00:42:27] Let me just watch the TV.
[00:42:28] It's like, yeah, well, turn off the TV and start being nice to yourself.
[00:42:32] Be a good friend to yourself.
[00:42:33] Go hang out.
[00:42:34] Go have a bike ride and some ice cream.
[00:42:35] Go have a good old time.
[00:42:37] Tell them how nice their hair is.
[00:42:41] Yeah, that's pretty awesome.
[00:42:43] And that's true.
[00:42:43] I never thought about people just avoiding being by themselves and using it as just pure
[00:42:50] entertainment, I guess.
[00:42:52] But yeah, that's been one of the hardest things for me to accept.
[00:42:56] And all of this, just to be honest, is the people that are waking up.
[00:43:01] Like you said, there's a few you want to shake.
[00:43:03] And it's like, I know you're an intelligent, beautiful person.
[00:43:07] And you finally just have to accept, like you said, it's obviously not their time to wake
[00:43:12] up or I don't know.
[00:43:16] Other than that, I don't know what it could be, but you just have to accept it and let
[00:43:20] it go.
[00:43:21] Yeah.
[00:43:21] I've spent a lot of time in contemplation of this and talking to different teachers and
[00:43:25] elders on it because I remembered for a while.
[00:43:28] And as a kid, I remembered for a very long time and then went through a season and then
[00:43:32] boom, here we are again.
[00:43:35] But I appreciated someone shared with me at one point thinking of it of we talk vibrationally,
[00:43:40] right?
[00:43:41] And like, I love speaking things vibrationally because you just understand energetics.
[00:43:45] It's hard to deny anything.
[00:43:48] We're in a season of the great awakening, right?
[00:43:52] Where there's an ascension happening.
[00:43:54] We're seeing more and more people having their awakening, more and more people stepping into
[00:43:59] spirituality.
[00:44:00] The Schumann resonance of the earth has sped up.
[00:44:03] We are moving at a faster, higher frequency.
[00:44:07] When we look at the number of people and the speed that we've been having awakening on this
[00:44:14] planet, there's one of my teachers, a grandmother I study with, her and her core group of students
[00:44:20] have been together studying praying for longer than I've been alive.
[00:44:24] So there's been plenty of people doing this work.
[00:44:27] It was very small numbers of people compared to now.
[00:44:31] We then have been growing more people wake up and get primed with energy to be able to hold others
[00:44:38] and support them through their awakening journey.
[00:44:40] Because those of us who've been through an awakening journey know it can be a little unsettling.
[00:44:44] And so we've been going in this perfect proportion of people are awakening at the pace
[00:44:50] in which there's enough other humans, guides, teachers, support around to actually be able to help them.
[00:44:57] Just like our own awakening, if we were to go from zero to a hundred vibrationally, it's not
[00:45:03] sustainable and we'll burn out and we're out.
[00:45:07] So if we look at it from a micro, it's so divinely orchestrated.
[00:45:11] It may be frustrating for us, but when we can start to realize, oh my gosh, the timing of all
[00:45:17] this is so divinely orchestrated so that it's actually sustainable for all of humanity
[00:45:23] to be able to grow in this frequency and for all of us to live in an awakened world.
[00:45:30] That's a beautiful way to put it.
[00:45:31] Thank you.
[00:45:32] Yeah, for sure.
[00:45:36] So before we wrap up, I know we're edging on time, but I wanted to give you some time
[00:45:41] to talk about the heart space if you'd like to.
[00:45:44] Sure.
[00:45:45] I mean, it's such a macro concept.
[00:45:47] We can talk about our space in which we do our service, the heart space at large.
[00:45:51] I'll kind of fuse them together.
[00:45:52] So the electromagnetic field around all of us is vibrating in different spaces.
[00:45:57] The electromagnetic field at the heart space, the center of the chest, not the entamical
[00:46:01] heart, the heart space, the energetic space is 60 times more powerful at this space.
[00:46:07] When we have it open and activated, it increases our ability to attract what's truly written
[00:46:12] on our heart by 60%.
[00:46:14] Therefore, increase in our magnetism, being able to live more fulfilled and in alignment
[00:46:19] with God's will, God's plan, the highest destiny frequency for ourselves.
[00:46:24] Nutshell there.
[00:46:25] What I do with the heart space is what we call the organization in which I do my coaching and
[00:46:31] Reiki trainings, treats all the things in the world.
[00:46:34] We support people in learning how to allow themselves to drop in and live with an activated heart.
[00:46:41] And we do have the healing academy where we do Reiki sessions.
[00:46:45] We also have Reiki trainings, helping people step into their healing gifts and the healing
[00:46:49] arts at large.
[00:46:51] Then we do the coaching.
[00:46:52] We do group coaching and retreats.
[00:46:54] So we're really on a mission to support people to live from the heart space and address all
[00:47:00] the various steps that come along the way that can hinder us and keep us from living with
[00:47:05] an open, pure, activated heart.
[00:47:09] That's beautiful.
[00:47:11] So is there anything that we haven't talked about today that you would like to make sure
[00:47:16] that the listeners hear?
[00:47:17] No, girl.
[00:47:18] We went all over the map in the most fruitful way.
[00:47:21] It was like, I honestly, I love the way you navigated this conversation.
[00:47:25] There was so much depth and we were able to cover so much.
[00:47:29] Oh, thank you.
[00:47:30] But still was so fluid and solid.
[00:47:32] So thank you.
[00:47:33] Oh, thank you.
[00:47:34] I appreciate that.
[00:47:35] It means a lot to me.
[00:47:36] And I appreciate you coming today and sharing your wisdom and your experiences with all of
[00:47:42] us.
[00:47:42] It's been awesome.
[00:47:43] Religion and honor.
[00:47:44] Thank you for creating the space to do it.
[00:47:46] You're welcome.
[00:47:47] Bye-bye.
[00:47:48] As we wrap up today's episode, I hope Kelly sharing her knowledge, experience and wisdom
[00:47:54] has helped you in some way.
[00:47:55] There was so much in this episode.
[00:47:57] I think one of the things that Kelly spoke about that is very intriguing is to partner
[00:48:02] with your fear in a way.
[00:48:04] Sit down, listen to it.
[00:48:06] What is it trying to tell you?
[00:48:08] Instead of just trying to ignore it, overcome it, suppress it, whatever words you want to
[00:48:12] use, actually try to listen to it.
[00:48:15] And what is it telling you about yourself?
[00:48:18] I also thought it was interesting how she talked about her mentor who taught her that love is
[00:48:23] just leverage over volatile environments.
[00:48:26] How wild is that?
[00:48:27] It's definitely a different angle of looking at what love means.
[00:48:31] I thought that was very interesting.
[00:48:33] She also talked about a very important issue, which is our diets.
[00:48:37] And I don't mean just what we consume nutritionally, but she also talked about what are we consuming
[00:48:43] as far as our music, as far as our TV, our talk radio, what are we taking in?
[00:48:48] And is it good for us mentally and spiritually?
[00:48:51] Is it hampering us or helping us?
[00:48:53] We really need to look at what we're consuming all across the board.
[00:48:58] I hope you've enjoyed today's show.
[00:49:00] I would love to hear from you.
[00:49:02] As always, I hope this episode helps at least one person.
[00:49:05] And with that, I hope you have a blessed week, my friend.
